Cafe Grandma Cancer Awareness Day

Cafe Grandma — Community Support for Asian Women Cafe Grandma was created to address the isolation many elders experienced during the COVID‑19 pandemic. After restrictions were lifted, community members identified a need for a safe, welcoming space where Asian women could meet regularly and rebuild social connection.

The idea was formally presented to the masjid board in June 2023 by trustee Shaista, leading to the launch of weekly sessions focused on wellbeing, learning, and companionship.

Cafe Grandma continues to serve as a trusted community hub supporting women’s emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
