More than five years ago, members of the Rawalian community raised the idea of establishing a dedicated cancer diagnosis and triage centre — a place where patients could be assessed early, guided properly, and supported with dignity.

These realities highlight the urgent need for accessible, culturally appropriate cancer awareness.
As cancer awareness resources were being developed — posters, videos, and symptom guides — it became clear that a dedicated platform was needed to house them and make them accessible to the public.
Markaz Cancer Pakistan was created to serve that purpose: a simple, bilingual awareness website designed to support early recognition of cancer symptoms and encourage timely medical care.
The project has been supported not only by RMU and HFH, but also by well-wishers from America and the UK who shared the vision of improving cancer awareness in Pakistan.
To support patients and families, we developed:
All freely available, for everyone.
A Pakistan where cancer is recognised early, understood clearly, approached without fear, and where awareness becomes the first step toward saving lives.
